Dr.Cohrn, a general practitioner in Lady Lake, Florida has demonstrated dedication to forensic odontology through participation in professional, educational and community services. His professional commitments include active participation in DMORT Region 4, FEMORS Region 3, consultant to the Office of the Medical Examiner Districts Three, Four, Five, Eight, Nine and Twenty-Three and as well as multiple law enforcement agencies in Florida. Disaster deployments include Hurricane’s Katrina, Charlie and Ivan. He is an active member in FSCIA, FLIAI, IVFSA, AAFS and ASFO. In recognition for community service, Dr. Cohrn was awarded “Heroes in Public Health” in Lake County, Fl. in 2006. Dr. Cohrn has achieved mastership status in both the Academy of General Dentistry and an MBA in 2001. He served a representative to the FDA House of Delegates for five years and Chair of the Ethics Committee for the Lake County Dental Society. As past- president and current Board member of IVFSA he is actively involved in animal forensics. Dr. Cohrn is on staff at the University of Florida,School of Medicine, Dept of Pathology, Immunology and Lab Science and consultant to the C. A. Pound Identification Laboratory. Dr. Cohrn is a native of Buffalo, N.Y., having graduated from the SUNY at Buffalo School of Dentistry and a GPR at the V.A. Medical center in Buffalo.
