Dr.Cohrn, retired from clinical dentistry as a general practitioner in 2023. However, he remains a forensic dental consultant and expert witness for multiple medical examiners, law enforcement, legal entities and private individuals. Dr. Cohrn has considerable experience with animal forensics. He has demonstrated dedication to forensic odontology through participation in professional, educational and community services. His professional commitments have includes participation in DMORT Region 4, FEMORS Region 3, consultant to the Office of Medical Examiner Districts 4, 5, 8, 9, 23 as well as multiple law enforcement agencies in Florida. He is a member of FLIAI, AAFS ASFO and past president of IVFSA. In recognition for community service, Dr. Cohrn was awarded “Heroes in Public Health” in
by the Lake County, Fl. Health Department 2006. He has co-authored articles and penned a chapter in the Manual of Forensic Ontology, 5th Edition. As an active participant in organized dentistry, he has held a number of positions in local and regional dentistry.
A Dr. Cohrn is a consultant to the University of Florida, School of Medicine, Dept of Pathology, Immunology and Lab Science and consultant to the C. A. Pound Identification Laboratory.
Dr. Cohrn is a native of Buffalo, N.Y., having graduated from the SUNY at Buffalo School of Dentistry and a GPR at the V.A. Medical center in Buffalo.
