The Civil Litigation Committee of the American Board of Forensic Odontology will host a workshop on expert witness testimony in conjunction with the 2017 AAFS Meeting in New Orleans, La., USA. The didactic portion of this Workshop will be completed via an online webinar; the practical portion of the workshop, for both those registered as expert witnesses and as observers, will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017, just prior to the AAFS Meeting. The workshop will accept both expert witness candidates who will testify in a mock court, as well as observers who will serve as the jury for the courtroom session. The case presented at the workshop will be a standard of care (i.e. “malpractice”) civil case.

The courtroom practical session will feature testimony by the expert witness participants in a mock trial format that includes judge, jury, and experienced trial lawyers. If this is your first expert testimony workshop experience, it is highly recommended to register as an observer.
